The Jade Rabbit welcomes Spring, all is well! To celebrate the Chinese New Year 2023, the tenth session of the public service event “Choral Singing of Seniors”, organized by Easy Media, was held on January 16 at 5pm at the Xin Flix Studio in Toronto, Canada.
The 10th edition of the event was held at the XinFlix Studio in Toronto on January 16 at 5pm. It aims to promote our traditional culture and to provide seniors living in Canada with a professional and scientific approach to strengthening their bodies and entertaining their minds and bodies.
The event was planned and executed by the entire staff of Easy Media with a heart for the elderly. The event was divided into three parts, namely a special cultural performance, a love raffle and a New Year dinner party, all of which are favourite activities for the elderly.

The Choral Singing of Seniors New Year Celebration is organised by 15-year-old Easy Media Canada and co-organised by the Digital Media Development Association of Canada (DMDAC), LEGAC Association and the International Cultural Arts Exchange Centre.
Congratulatory letter were sent by Senator Victor Oh, Member of Parliament Don Han, Member of Parliament Shaun Chen and City Councillor Nick Mantas from Scarborough-Agin Court.

The event was also well supported by Ontario dignitaries at all levels, including Jacob, a representative of federal MPP Don Han Dong, Larry, an assistant to Ontario MPP Billy Pang, Richmond Hill MPP Godwin Chan, and Markham Regional MP Alan Ho, who all came to the event in their busy schedules and The organisers were presented with certificates as a token of appreciation.

Ms. Miao Miao Wang, Artistic Director of “Singing for Fun and Education”, drew the first prize for the lucky audience, a $2,000 Italian double piano stool (black adjustable height, with English Chippendale design legs) provided by Steinway Piano.
The organisers said the event was also grateful for the participation of caring companies: Ham Financial Group, Steinway & Sons Toronto, Fantasia Canada, CIK Telecom, VIVA Homes, SGV GROUP Select One Group, Micro Headlines, Amazing Law Firm, EPS Care Technologies Inc. and others who brought a wealth of prizes and food for the gala event, bringing a festive atmosphere.
Ms. Miao Miao and President Zhang Xu led a team of volunteers to serve a large amount of food to the guests for the New Year’s Eve dinner, and the three halls, including the studio, really felt full of spring colours.
More than 300 people gathered in 3 halls for the New Year Gala with laughter and joy. Many of the elderly people present had been following the singing education and health care of Ms Wang Miao Miao’s team on ZOOM for a year, breathing into the waist, eliminating all illnesses and overcoming the loneliness of the epidemic, and were happy to get together today.
Caring companies in Toronto have taken the initiative to support this event with a variety of educational and healthy gifts for seniors, evoking the feeling of being home for New Year’s Eve for everyone in attendance.
The event was divided into three parts: a special cultural performance, a raffle and a New Year’s Eve dinner party. The event started with a costume performance “Recreating the Tang Dynasty”, followed by a variety of art forms such as instrumental music, singing and dancing, Beijing opera and poetry recitation to bring the evening’s exciting programme to a climax. Although the epidemic has made life difficult, people still need to stay healthy by singing, dancing, eating and playing together in a positive and optimistic way, so that we can enjoy the happiest national body of older people in the world!
This “Choral Singing of Seniors” event is a great festival that combines Christmas, New Year’s Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day together. The gifts, prizes and meals for this event are also generously provided by our caring companies, with plenty of gifts and raffle games to show our appreciation for the units and individuals who come to participate.
