Toronto-area man wins second lotto prize in four years

A Mississauga man has won two lottery prizes in the last four years.

The stars aligned for Satnam Banwait when he won $250,000 playing MAXMILLIONS on April 1. He also won $2 on his ENCORE selection.

Banwait said when he checked his ticket at the store and thought he won $250 at first.

“I checked it again and realized it was $250,000. I was so happy,” he said.

But this wasn’t his first win.

“I won $10,000 on ENCORE four years ago,” Banwait said

The 55-year-old father said he has been playing the lottery since 1987.

He plans to save some money and take a vacation.

“I would love to win again. Maybe the jackpot next time,” he said.
